Powder Coating

What is Powder Coating?

Powder Coating is the most economical and smartest way to restore, refinish or just plain improve the durability of any product made of aluminum, steel, metal, brass or copper – AND in keeping with our reduce, reuse and recycle mantra here at Stoughton Steel –  it’s also extremely environmentally friendly and pollution free!

While similar to spray painting (but clearly not even in the same league), powder coating has five times the climate resistance to heat and cold, corrosion invasion and scratch resistant durability with the most beautifully amazing finished look.  What would take you painstaking days and multiple cans of spray paint – powder coating can save you tons of time and money!

How Does Powder Coating Work?

The process of powder coating combines finely ground particles made of pigment and resin that is electrically charged then professionally sprayed onto the product’s surface.  Then it is baked to perfection just like ceramic so the paint is cured and paint particles are permanently adhered.

The color wheel choices are almost endless and we can match virtually any shade you might need to re-color as well.

Our Richard Wilcox, Zig Zag paint line is ideal in production environments where clean operations is essential and our state-of-the-art automated conveyor line can handle up to 20,000 lbs. of product per hour. We produce huge volumes of powder coated stabilizer pads each week with this system and many large customers are pleased that we have the ability to process in significant quantities and turn them around very quickly.

Some of the vast clients we serve each week bring us hundreds of items; such as car rims, baby cribs, 10 speed bikes and Harley Davidson parts.

On a smaller scale we have also done small and interesting jobs such as; lamps, wrought iron tables and chairs, tea pots, old wood burning stoves, mailboxes, trash cans and warehouse two wheelers.

No job is too big or too small for our facility – so call us today at 781-826-6496 or complete the form below for a quote!
